Pros:
  • Good quality
Cons:
  • Many different bottle look of the same soap

Preferred solution: I would like an explanation why do they feel different when they're the same. And where can I purchase the green bottle in Los Angeles area?

User's recommendation: The Green Bottle is better then the new improved look

Utterly terrible Customer service - borderline theft

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Zwilling Canada is absolutely terrible. They threw a knife in a bloody box and shipped it to me. It was dull...so when I complained, they responded as if they never read my bloody email. Imagine buying a knife that wasn't cheap, it comes to you packaged extremely poorly, and dull. So, you complain, and their response is, "here's some contacts to get it sharpened". They send me a garbage knife, and ask that I pay for it to be sharpened...wtf! So I decided to check out Zwilling Canada's reviews....and yep...it was like 1.2 out 5. With loads of the exact complaints that I had. One guy thought it was very close to theft and definitely shady. I have no desire to ever purchase anything from any line of products from J.A.Henkles. And the sad thing is, I own a bunch of there stuff, but never purchased directly from Zwilling. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM...ITS 100% BUYER BEWARE.

Ineffective product

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This product comprises a bag of chemicals to be immersed in a kettle for descaling. I used as directed, but it made absolutely no impact on the limescale, so is not fit for purpose. I have now written to Henkel Ltd the suppliers. Watch this space.....

I purchased the Henkel 20 piece set of knives. International graphite. Within 6 weeks the block cracked. Very poor craftsmanship.

Downsized product

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have been a consumer of the DIAL BASICS HypoAllergenic Soap since the late '90s. I was most interested in that product because for several reasons - one of which is the fact that it is basically fragrance-free, as compared to other bath soaps. I am a classroom teacher with students who suffer from various allergies. As the DIAL BASICS HypoAllergenic soap is mild in scent, I chose to make it a part of my daily cleansing routine. This message concerns the downsizing of the DIAL BASICS soaps - a product that I purchase at various "dollar" stores in my area. The package that once contained five (5) bars of the above-mentioned soap now has only two (2) bars - and for the same price $1.00 dollar. It was irritating when your company decreased the size of the bars (yes, I noticed that, also); but to insult the consumer by giving us less product for the same price is outrageous! This will be MY decision concerning YOUR product: I will immediately begin the trial - and subsequent purchase - of another bath product. With the numerous soap options that are available on the market today, this should not be a difficult task. Signed, Ms. Sheryl Smith

Snuggle turns to plastic

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have used the Snuggle in my He washer with very hot water and the plastic around the Concentrated Scent Pacs ends up stuck to the items in the washer. I end up having to rewash the items to get the plastic out of the item.

Bought a bottle of Ultra Purex fabric softener

My hubby went grocery shopping for me and bought a 1 qt. bottle of Ultra Purex fabric softener in mountain breeze scent and it has ActiFresh microbeads in it. I turned it around and read the back and it says "Purex Fabric Softener is not intended for use on children's sleepwear or other flame resistant fabrics as it may reduce flame resistance. Do not use on cotton-containing fluffier fabrics such as terry cloth and fleece as this may increase flammability." Ok so what exactly can I use this fabric softener on? And must I buy another different fabric softener so I can soften my towels and make sure the kids clothes stay flame resistant? I don't think so!! After reading that I thought "Why would anybody want this product if it won't do the job it's bought for?" You'd better believe I won't be getting this product again even if it is cheaper. And from now on I'll be reading the labels on all of Purex's bottles before I buy them, IF I buy them.

Shouldn't use fabric softener on towels, it reduces their absorption. Use vinegar.

Yep I knew that as well but, I can't help it in the winter I have to my skin can't take scratchy towels. Vinegar?

Does it work? Don't they smell like vinegar?

:? In the summer I hang them outside and don't use softener.

Yep it works and no smell

Apparently, this is common for fabric softeners, not just Purex. I did a quick search, and Downey has the same warning.

The search showed tons of hits on fabric softeners in general. It's not just Purex.

Well that's too bad.... I don't like the fact that you can't soften all of your laundry with one product.

I'm still not gonna buy the Purex anyway because it sure doesn't smell like "mountain breeze"... in fact it kind of stinks :x
